Huawei has announced the unveiling of the Nova the Nova Plus and the MediaPad M3. The smaller Nova has a 5-inch screen, while the larger Nova Plus supersizes with a 5.5-inch display and a bigger battery. In addition to two new entries in the company’s mid-tier Nova line, it also introduced a new 8.4-inch tablet the MediaPad M3.

The Nova features an impressive 445ppi, along with improved color over past models and an Eye Protection mode for that filters out blue light and auto adjusts brightness for night time viewing. The fingerprint reader has been improved as well, with added security, now up to five levels.

The Nova Plus on the other hand has a more centered square camera module that protrudes from the device with a square fingerprint sensor positioned directly below it which, according to its maker, the fastest in the world, requiring only 0.3 seconds to identify a user.

Inside the MediaPad M3, you’ll find a 16nm oca-core chipset and a beefy 5,100mAh battery that promises up to 11 hours of life on a charge. There’s 4GB of RAM on board and up to 64GB of storage. The company has also paid close attention to the speakers here, with a front facing pair created in partnership with Harman/Kardon, and for good measure, the slate with ship with a pair of Huawei’s new AKG earphones, which promise improved sound over their predecessor.
