I’ll first like to apologize to all my dedicated audiences for such a long absence due to an uncontrollable circumstance.
I recently decided to change my current phone and decided to do some research before diving in to the nearest store. So I tried finding phones around the 30k mark.. These are the phones I stumbled upon:
The Infinix Hot Note Pro – 28k on Jumia
Infinix Hot Note Pro is more or less like the Hot Note, but with twice the RAM and twice the built-in storage. It retains the 1.4GHz octa-processor, but with the 2GB RAM things will run more smoothly. The Hot Note Pro comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat), but Infinix is promising an Android 5.0 (Lollipop) upgrade. Infinix Hot Note Pro comes with a 5.5-inch display offering 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The phone has an 8 megapixels camera and a 2 megapixels camera on the back and front respectively.
Infinix Hot Note Pro promises up to 2 days battery life, thanks to the built-in 4000 mAh Li-Po battery. The smartphone also supports fast charging enabling you charge up to 75% in less than an hour.
Tecno L7 – 33k on Jumia
comes with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, but with a generous 2GB of RAM. It features 16GB built-in storage but lacks a microSD slot. Tecno seems to be putting more emphasis on battery power in its latest iteration of phones and the Tecno L7 follows this new pattern with a 3050 mAh battery.
The 5-inch display is of modest quality, but the 720 x 1280 pixels resolution can offers some consolation. Tecno L7 sports a 13 megapixels rear camera and a 5 megapixels front facing camera.
Innjoo one – also 28k on Jumia
Innjoo One is a new flagship smartphone from Innjoo. It features an octa-core processor (8 cores!), clocked at 1.7GHz. Innjoo One also offers a more beautiful and sleeker design, a 2600mAh battery, and 2GB of RAM.Innjoo One features a brilliant 5.0-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels HD resolution. One the back is a 13 megapixels camera with LED flash and on the front a 8 megapixels camera, which should be great for taking selfies or for making video calls.
Infinix Zero – 29k on Jumia
Infinix Zero X506 is the 2014 flagship phone from Infinix. It is the first smartphone from Infinix to sport Android 4.4 (KitKat) and is powered by a superfast 1.4GHz octa-core processor. Infinix Zero is a beauty with a 5-inch HD IPS screen and a brilliant glass on metal finish. 8GB of built-in storage is provided on the model with 1GB RAM and the Infinix Zero 16GB has 2GB of RAM. Both models support up to 32GB memory card.
Infinix Zero sports a 13 megapixels camera on the back with a BSI sensor and autofocus. A 2 megapixels camera is also provided in front for selfies and video chats.
Gionee Marathon M3 – 30k on jumia
Gionee Marathon M3 runs on Google’s Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) and is powered by a 1.3GHz, Cortex A7 processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of built-in storage. While the built-in storage is less than stellar, the Gionee Marathon M3 does provide a microSD card slot for an additional 128GB of storage expansion for those who can’t get enough storage.
The battery is the best thing about the Gionee Marathon M3, it runs on a 5,000mAh battery which can give you over 30 hours on 3G and up to 33 days on standby!!
Gionee Marathon M3 features a 5-inch IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution, 2 megapixels front camera and an 8 megapixels rear camera with HD video recording.
Infinix Zero 2 – 34k on jumia
Infinix Zero 2 is slimmer and lighter than its predecessor, the Infinix. The front is protected with super tough Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for unrivaled scratch resistant and the back cover is made of Kevlar fiber, which is said to be 5 times tougher than steel!
The smartphone is powered by 2.0GHz octa-core processor and 2GB of RAM. Infinix Zero 2 comes with twice the storage of the 16GB Zero, with 32GB of built-in storage (There is also a 16GB variant). It also sports a 13MP back camera and 5MP front camera.
